This is a gem and mineral museum with lots of interesting rocks etc. The sign on the door said it was closed but the attendant saw us and unlocked the door saying it was hard to turn away someone who showed up. Free and fun!

This museum highlights varius rocks and minerals of the area. Many of the examples are very large includin a 6' geode. It was interesting, but without a geoligist to put in context, it was just a set of pretty rocks. Several Stetson students were there,...More

Learn about rocks & fossils. Super cool little museum. Spend a rainy afternoon and learn a lot! And while you are there throw a dollar in the tip jar to keep it going.

Tucked away on the back edge of the Stetson University Campus, it's a gem. (Punny, but true) A great collection, student guides on hand, and a variety of hands on items. On site is a small but fun museum store.

We love to take our winter visitors to this place. The huge amethyst is so amazing, gift from our earth. Neon rock formations. Beautiful color, not seen before. Fun for all ages.

This is a fabulous museum, but be advised it is only open during the week, as it is run by Stetson University and staffed primarily by student workers. The good news is that it is free! We took that into account when we decided to...More

We decided to make the drive from Daytona to DeLand (45 min from the beach) because of the great write up that the museum had in the tourism booklet at our hotel. The book said that their hours were 10-4. To get out of the...More
