There were so many families here when we went and I can see why. My son loved it, so much to do and see. Very good for those who seek sensory input ! There was a constant line at the zip line. I really wish, and this goes for all park, that parents would keep their teenagers off the the... More

This is constructed for the long haul with a DeLand historical prospective. It is made with high quality materials with stainless fasteners etc. it has plaques denoting the historical significance on each item and is designed with the child's safety in mind. It has a merry go round flush with the ground so handicapped can safely enjoy it. The colors... More

We love this playground! Large area for younger kid play, larger area for older kid play. Zip line, swings, merry-go-round and handicap accessible. Yippee!! Bathrooms and water fountain. Shade area. Great playground we love it!!

When the City of DeLand said they would be tearing down town the old wooden playground, my kids were devastated as it was a great playground. But the new playground is even better than the old one. Definitely a must stop for families with kids who are visiting DeLand and looking for something to do!!

Great place to take the kids to run around. The surface is the soft type and they even have a little zip line (Very Safe) now. Recommended!

A nice wooden playground, that has been a part of DeLand for as long as I can remember. The kids love it!

Great park to let kids get their energy out... raising funds now to make over Freedom Park! we will continue to go, but look forward to a cleaner park and cleaner rest rooms.

My husband and I, while dating as students at Stetson University, went often to swing and play on the equipment at Freedom Playground. When he left for his master's in Princeton, NJ, he surprised me by meeting up with me at Freedom Playground (the site of our first kiss/official date), where he proposed to me as we were swinging. Soooo... More

A fully equipped expansive wooden activity center for climbing, walking, swinging, etc. for kids of all ages. Obviously a favorite of the community with a constant flow of activity. Could use some repair throughout. Adjoins Bill Dreggors Park with picnic tables and a well-maintained lawn for walking.
