We stopped or our way to Florida for a few nights and it was a great place to stop. We just traveled around sight seeing before going on our way.

The historic area of downtown begins and ends with beautiful wrought iron work. It is comprised of a small museum, antique stores, bars, and restaurants. It includes a grassy park at the Halifax River's edge which honors an early leader if the community, Charles Burgoyne....More

Always come down to Daytona when we are in Florida, the atmosphere is very relaxed. Great for lazy and relaxing days.

lots of good places to go and enjoy food and beer and music during bike events, also when there is no event some places have music, interesting to see the old buildings and the atmosphere of it all

Very refreshing. Several beach side food and refreshment establishments all in the same locale. Able to drive on the beach and visit a variety of places all in close proximity. Several had live entertainment in the evening.

Many vacant storefronts since off season; nearby place to shop and eat; souvenir stores vary from the classical to the upscale; pretty sure you can find what you like at one of them.

It was an interesting walk. A mixture of "old-antique shops", and "new-start-ups", along with various types of restaurants/coffee shops/bars. There is an picturesque park on the other side of the street to provide "green" space.

More of a biker and adult type of thing. Don't get me wrong my husband is a biker but with so many bars on one block it's not a kid friendly place. I would however go back without the kids

Main Street is the place to be during Bike Week. I especially love it the first weekend when it's closed to cages and full of bikes. It's like a two wheel parade. Every make and model known to man and lots of colorful characters. Tons...More

We went to Main Street last Saturday night, not knowing it would be blocked off for a "Street Party" There were several bands playing up and down the street and it was a lot of fun.
