Recently, I had come here for a medical symposium with speakers, exhibits and even some food and refreshments. It is a comfortable, cool, attractive, charming venue for a meeting of this type. It has modern spacious halls lined with interesting art, a very nice auditorium with theater seats which holds approximately 850 people, and acoustics are excellent. They seemed well... More

I had the pleasure of attending a play, 'Proof', at the News-Journal building on Saturday evening. The play was presented by the Daytona State College - Drama Dept. The production was superb, the Set Design, the Lighting, the Sound; the Actors played their roles so well, you didn't want the play to end! The 'News-Journal' building has a beautiful auditorium... Seats were comfortable and everything was nice and clean. We were with a group of 12 and were able to sit together or wherever we wanted and the staff was very helpful.

I performed here in 2009, possibly with the DSC Symphonic Band (I was 16 at the time and in between moves, so I don't recall every detail), but I do remember the beauty of the hall and the great acoustics. Highly recommended to attend a show there! Support the arts!

I went to see a concert at this place in December of 2013 and was blown away at the beauty and acoustics of the place. It was built only about 3 years back and is positioned in a great location. The structure is great and the seating is quite plentiful. Will definitely be back for future events!

Great auditoriums for concerts. Acoustically excellent, comfortable seats, unobstructed views of stage.
