First of all the price of admission is so affordable (8$) that is ridiculous. First they got the museum where you see all sorts of stuff from history; then there's the village. The village was everything for me. It has a school, church, house, grocery store etc from back in the day. It was amazing, so educational and interesting. I... More

Doesn't look like a lot when you pull in but once you are through the door the lesson begins. The layout is very well done and many artifacts to see. Saw things I had never seen and learned a few things also. More people should frequent this place and excellent if you have children.

Worth a half day adventure. Had a good time looking around and seeing times past. They have a gift shop and worth a look.

My husband and I visited Pioneer Florida Museum & Village and were blown away by all the Florida artifacts, buildings on the site that had been moved and restored, and a traveling Smithsonian display on the history of the working class. It took us down memory lane as we strolled through the buildings and read the articles displayed. It's a... More

Draft horse pull is held the first Saturday of February. Light weight and Heavy weight Draft horses. This year they also had a quilt show. There are food venders and other craft items for sale. There are other events held at the Pioneer Museum.

During my planning for our vacation in Florida I stumbled on this gem located in Dade City Florida. Its location is perfect and the multiple historic buildings bring you back in time. My family really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. I can really recommend it! Tip combine it with some Antique shopping in Dade City... More

Went for our first visit for their frontier day. Small but still worth the time. Some of the history and photographs of the areas around were unexpected and interesting.

I absolutely love small museums like this. Absolute treasure. Their exhibits are very interesting and the new tool exhibit is not only interesting , but the exhibit itself is a work of art. Fantastic place to get a sense of what it was like living in Florida in days gone-by. A testament to those who realized the importance of saving... More

I've driven by a hundred times, and finally visited. I had no idea there were so many buildings and things to see inside. They have special events once a month, and we went for the Christmas Open House. We enjoyed learning about the history of Pasco County. There is a schoolhouse from Lacoochee, a church, a farmhouse, a packing house,... More
