We stayed here for 2 nights while swimming with manatees. The villas are a little dated, but clean and comfortable. There is a great pool. It's a large property with lots of options, golf, tennis, volleyball, croquet, dive shop, manatee tours. We will defiinately use...More

We returned to the Plantation Inn after having had a great visit there 30 years ago. We were surprised that our confirmed reservation for a room with a king bed was not waiting for us. The hotel front desk staff was rude and claimed the...More

Played 2 rounds of golf here and this place is lacking. Tee boxes need work, most are very rough and crowned, the greens are mediocre to terrible and golfers seem to drive their carts through water on the course and have made a mess in...More

Cannot say anything good about this hotel. We bid on and received a three day two night stay at this hotel from a fundraiser for Cayo Costa Island State Park. We “upgraded” our room for one on the second floor with a view of the...More

This is where the locals go because the value for the quality is untouched by any resort on The Nature Coast. The property is set perfectly on Crystal River and manatees are literally floating poolside as boats whisper by full of smiles. The food at...More

Let me just say this place is not a resort as far as the room is concerned, The pictures definitely look nicer online than in person. Our room was okay and I would say was best in the area but I do not necessarily think...More

Don't stay here this place is a slightly cleaned up dump. They raise the rates ridiculously for scalloping season. 304.00 per night with fees is a "Florida resident" discount. The pool is disgusting so cloudy you can't even see an inch into the water. I...More

I came to the Plantation Inn, as a visitor, to relax by the pool and listen to some live music that was being provided. The visit was comfortable and the music was pretty good. (I stayed at the Inn about 8 years ago). The hotel...More

We travled 700 miles to stay here and swim with the manatees for my daughters 21 birthday. I don't know how much you know about the crystal river area but, it's in the middle of nowhere. I didn't know that was possible in Florida, unless...More

This place is DISGUSTING! Not what it used to be at all. The hallways and carpeted area are dirty and smell horrible. The room was nothing fancy, very small and dirty fridge sitting on the floor. When our son was getting in the tub I...More

That is something to ask either the general manager or Guest Services. Call the venue and ask for the Front Desk. This is what I would do. Thanks for asking and enjoy your visit!

I'd say call the Plantation Inn and speak to the boat/dive shop. We had amazing Capt. Jeff. He grew up in that area, so very knowledgable. From what I read now is peak manatee season and they thin out from there.
