Interesting stop at the ruins. History notes about the place and Mr. Yulee. If you enjoy history of the Homossa area. Free and casual walk around. It's not a huge place so plan a half hour or so to read and look.

Often when we visit historical parks, there will be only minimal ruins still visible, but in the case of the Yulee Sugar Mill, there is a full chimney, pieces of the steam engine and boiler, some of the cooking pots, and rock lined pits. Although...More

The actual mill was probably interesting but most of the signs are missing. There is no large sign that has an overview so the missing signs are a challenge to better understand the site.

It is an interesting stop, however, time has taken its toll. Informative and need s to be cleaned up.

Just the actual mill equipment. Stop if you are going through, but not worth a specific trip. Picnic tables in front. On the way to the Freezer shrimp shack

It's a park with the ruins to a local Sugar mill. It is small, but they have signage telling about what everything is. We parked in the parking lot opposite the Mills. Getting there is a treat in itself as the area is beautiful and...More

We stopped by Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins for a quick stop. It was not hard to find and is only a few miles off US 19. There are a number of boards describing the history of of the sugar mill. The ruins were deteriorated but...More

It's interesting if only to hear about the origins of the sugar business in Florida. Small placards give you some sense of the history although the pics only allude to the slave labor needed to run the mill. Right off the road and there's a...More

There really isn't much here. It is right along the highway so parking can be an issue. Nice little stopping point for school kids
