Small beach with boat launch. Clean and pristine

This is a small little beach at the end of a 10 mile road through the saw grass swamp. Nice but on holidays and weekends you can hardly find a parking spot

This is a small man made beach with little to no waves as it's tucked back into a cove. Not great for swimming and the sand seems really dirty near the water. It smelled bad and had trash littered around the first time we visited. Hurricane Hermine came through and caused a lot of damage which required it to be... More

We asked where we could enjoy the sun on a nice beach and this was it! Easy to find near Crystal River and kept up beautifully! Clean washrooms and WHITE SAND! We were fortunate to have warm weather and enjoyed the sun with a picnic on the beach. No food sold there.

The beach is a relatively small, local beach. It seemed to be fairly quiet, but is still very enjoyable. There is a short pier that you can walk out on to survey the area. Fort Island Gulf Beach is tucked back behind a wildlife refuge. It's a great compliment to some hiking or bird watching.

This is a small beach area on the bay. Good for little kids as it was not crowded and water is calm. Beach was clean and had adequate facilities.

For the past 5 years, my wife and I stop in Crystal River, as much for this spot as for anything else. The solitude, beautiful sunsets and the ability to simply unwind.

Visited here with our family. It was windy and cold, so we didn't stay long, but the birds were delightful here! Lots of other spots for bird watching and a nature lovers paradise. A well hidden gem along this marshy coastline!

Nice, small beach in Citrus Co. I'm used to Clearwater Beach down to Pass-a-Grille. But they are so crowded. SO this is a nice change

We were here in January so no swimming and very few people. Nice little beach and a short hike to the pier. Boat launch is closed due to hurricane damage. There were skimmers all over the beach. Skimmers are a type of bird. Don't see them too often.
