County/town did a nice job making the beach and bathrooms, picnic tables, showers, fishing pier are nice,. However, without waves, the bird poop remains everywhere at low tide. Water is clear though. We didn't hang out or return.

The Crystal River area is not a beach area. This part of the FL west coast is surrounded by marsh land. We live in Fort Myers so are used to beautiful beaches of Sanibel Island and Lover's Key. Do not expect this in this area....More

The park is nothing to see. It has a boat ramp and several good spots to fish, Gulf fish like trout, redfish, ladyfish and others are just starting to come into the back waters and should hold until weather warms up.

They clean everything, including the sand, it looks like on Fridays. The sunset is incredible. You can see dolphins swimming off shore. Water was cold in December, but no bacteria warning.

Take a picnic and enjoy the area. There are covered tables and a very clean beach to enjoy. We were there during the week so plenty of parking and tables available. Nice bike trail out there and a beautiful ride on a motorcycle.

Small beach with a fishing pier and boat launch. There is a encore camp ground not too far away that is very nice. Close to Crystal River so if you wanna go out for dinner or lunch you can. And Homasassa isn’t too far away...More

This is truly a gem of a beach it's certainly quiet here. There are plenty of picnic tables to use. Good clean rest rooms. The only downside I would say is there is a large population of sea gulls. So picnic tables are covered in...More
