First things first, I see that some reviewers erroneously posted reviews and photos that pertain to Homossasa State Park, not Crystal River/Three Sisters Refuge. Crystal River Refuge is built around one main attraction: manatees, and in the season (winter), there are plenty of them to...More

It's great that there are places people can visit to enjoy wildlife that are well-cared for. There should be more facilities that do such a great job as this refuge.

From the informative 20 minute boat ride to the compound to the tram ride back to the main building, this is a delightful day out. You wander through the compound at your own pace, viewing animals, birds, and reptiles that are (almost) all indigenous to...More

More than hundreds of Florida animals and a hippo to see. Be sure to go into the the glass enclosed room built in the spring to see all of the cool fish and possible manatees. It is called the fishbowl.

Beautiful area, lovely grounds, incredible animals. Worth an afternoon trip! The manatee feeding, at the underwater viewing area, was our favorite event. Guides friendly & knowledgeable.
