We biked it in 2 hrs. . We started at Coco Plum entrance, ended up doing 22 miles! Very beautiful trail, paved. The weather was nice so the heat was not extreme! We really recommend it if you like nature!

It was a bit difficult to find the trailhead. Turns out the trail is a sidewalk along Old Cutler Rd. If you drive the street by the trail, you'll get an idea if you want to walk it.

Although the trail is bumpy in places because of tree roots, the views are great. Starting at the circle of Lajeunne Road and Old Cutler road you see hugh Mansions and boats on the river. Biking under hugh trees you pass magnificent estates, Further down the road you come to Hummock Park. Worth a pedal through, then the wonderful Fairchild... More

I live off this trail and never tire of walking it. The houses, the vegetation and the delicious air make it a paradise. The trail gives access to Matheson Hammock, a delightful beach plus restaurant, as well as the world-class Fairchild Gardens. This is Miami's best.

My sons boy scout troop walks the Old Cutler Trail once a year with many other scouts. It is a part of a much larger walk that is called The Barefoot Mailman. It is a beautiful path that can be done best by bike.

I was slightly apprehensive about biking this trail because of some reviews stating that the trail is very bumpy because of the long, winding roots of the Banyan tress on the cycling track. I am not an expert at cycling and have only just picked it up. However, the promise of old architecture, quiet trails, and some peace were enough... More

Old Cutler trail like many of the roads leading southward from Coconut Grove and full of mature trees lining the roadway and creating a great canopy on the road. I would say it looks like nothing else in South Florida.
