You can see coast to coast - wow. Nice view of the local lakes, not well sign posted . Not a lot here really.

If you happen to be in Clermont, I would stop and check out the great view of the area. I would not make a special trip to Clermont for the purpose of seeing the Citrus Tower. There is a $6.00 per person fee to take the elevator to the viewing area.

On our very first visit to the Sunshine State, Mrs Too and Ben hitched their tent camper to her station wagon and set out to see the 1984 Super Bowl XVIII between our Washington Redskins and the Los Angeles Raiders. When we got to Hilton Head, it was sleeting. We overnighted in Deland amid a miserable freezing rain. Bad enough... More

On a romantic getaway to Disney World, we decided to pepper in some Old Florida to mix up our trip. The Citrus Tower is one such landmark that is not to be missed. It is the perfect reminder of a different tourist industry in Florida, and while the view of orange groves may be long gone, the tower itself remains... More

If in the area, please give this a try, but not worth going out of your way for it. The cost is only $6.00. You enter through the gift shop, well it IS Florida after all. At over 200 feet , up a small elevator, the view is spectacular and you can just imagine what if would have been like... More

There was a time 50 years ago when you could see gorgeous green citrus groves as far as the eye could see from atop the Citrus Tower in Clermont. There's a nice gift shop in the lobby that has a range of items including Switch Flops. (Look them up ... a brilliant invention.)

When the Citrus Tower was built the area was covered with citrus groves that the tower celebrated. In the 60+ years since things have changed but the view of the surrounding area is still good. A fee of $6.00 is charged to take the elevator to the top where one finds 360 degrees of windows on the horizons with landmarks... More

We decided to go and visit this tower because the write up says you can see 8 counties from up there and walk around an observation deck. Disappointed because it was a $6.00 elevator ride inside a very old elevator that made me nervous. It was a 30 second walk around the observatory and that was it. The view was... More

We have been here twice now in three years and each time it was quiet (March). A great vantage point for fabulous views in all directions after a short ride up in the lift. Worth a look.
