With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make this beach an ideal playground for families.

Really superb beach, fine white sand, warm water, no litter. Bars and restaurants on the beach front. What’s not to like!

You either go in early or come in late. Middle of the day was just horrible. We were scrambling to find parking close to the beach, which we couldn't, so we had to park a little farther which cost $25. I recommend bringing your own...More

Clearwater beach is gorgeous! The shops are close to all the hotels, within walking distance and take a ride on one of the boats, you won't be disappointed

The soft sand of Clearwater Beach is very inviting. Enjoyed a long weekend. Lots of places to eat. We stayed at the Hilton and the spa and amenities are wonderful.

Nice clean beach not overcrowded like the mid Atlantic or north east this time of year. A lot of families. Umbrella and chair rentals are available

Not so clear water. Not sure why it's called Clearwater?! There are more beautiful beaches a short drive away! Sand was like soft baby powder. The children loved playing in it! Beach had a good crowd but plenty of space . You can rent umbrellas,...More

I was just in St. Petersburg a few days ago. The red tide has not reached those beaches, nor do they expect it to.

Beach is beautiful. There is a boardwalk and parking areas but it will cost you $15-20 for the day. Great beach.

Was there two weeks ago, red tide was approaching Tampa Bay but it will be a while before it reaches Clearwater. You should be OK.
