This is a large campground with 3 different camping areas. I was in Magnolia 1 and I would recommend it. I was next to the sink hole trail which was very convenient for walking the dog. There are several other trails farther from the campground that are easy hikes but you will need to carry water for your dog. There... More

Took the girlfriend and kids scuba diving and swimming over the weekend. The park was beautiful. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The stairs into the water are I'm great shape and easy to use. As a bonus, a BBQ company has leaded the concession stand and are amazing. Extremely well priced for the amount... More

We spent two beautiful weeks at the park. Trails are easy-walking and many of the attractions are handicap accessible. This is a great park to view wildlife. Deer, manatees, armadillos, red shouldered hawks, barred owls, woodpeckers, lizards, and several different varieties of snakes are visible in the park. Campsites are very large and, although the campground roads and sites are... More

Stopped to check out the oldest state park in Fl and while we didn't get to see any manatees we did have a nice lunch and boat tour. Highly recommend the pontoon boat tour. It comes with a lunch and is very informative of the history, wildlife and vegetation along the river.

Great folks at Anderson's Outdoor Adventures - they returned my call to confirm what time was the last shuttle to the Clay Landing drop off (as the day gets longer, it is gradually push back). Rented a basic sit in Perception kayak and was taken upriver to the Clay Landing drop off. It is up to you to ensure that... More

My rating is based on what I expect in a camping area, some may find it great, however if you have a very large unit you may want to walk the areas before driving in. I also found the sites to be rather ruff, except the handicapped ones which were concrete pads. There were some sites that units had to... More

Spent the Day here....driving thru the Camp sites for our next adventure. We are already excited about coming back here to camp. Beautiful spring, boat rentals and lots of wildlife on our drive thru the Park. We also walked down the boardwalk and saw manatee.

Nice quiet park where you can observe a lot of Manatees from the boardwalk or in the water. Great campsites. Went there for originally for a dive day in the spring, it's not big but enough for a fun hour or so. You can snorkle in that area as well. You can rent all kinds of watercraft for around $20... The first time my husband and I visited Manatee Springs State Park, we planned on swimming and having a picnic. We were happy to know that our pet was allowed to be there with us. We were delighted to find that there is a concession stand that offers smoked chicken, which they cook fresh every day. It was delicious. There... More

What a great State Park. The Suwannee river and Manatee Spring Run are beautiful for paddling. Camp in the park so you can walk out on the wooden boardwalk at night and enjoy the peace and serenity of Old Florida. What a great view of the Milky Way as well. The sky is very dark there but too many trees... More
