Manatee Springs is quite simply stunning! We only saw four manatees from a distance, but the scenery is incredible. The water was so still the beautiful autumnal colours were perfectly reflected in it. We saw lots of birds, and really enjoyed the tranquillity of the...More

I spent the day at Manatee Springs State Park, Nov. 24 (Clay Landing Day at the park). Manatee Springs State Park is one of Florida's premier state parks. It has miles of nature trails and a board walk through the environmentally sensitive wetlands. It has...More

Early November, but still a bit early for the manatee's to show. However we did walk the boardwalk and saw some interesting things, including a flock of very tame, and a touch creepy, black vultures that seemed to own the park's dock on the river,...More

I like this park. I don't like some of the changes. It is clearly posted 'No Alcohol' yet the leased concession is selling pints. And it shows. I hope some child doesn't drown out here while daddy is getting his drink on. Saw 4 deer...More

This is a very beautiful state park. Nice boardwalk, down to the Swanee River. Exciting day at the spring head. Saw lots of wildlife. This spring you feel little less secure, has a more primitive look. Spring head was absolutely beautiful to snorkel over. Lots...More

We visited diring the off season and the park was quiet and serene. This afforded us to observe quite a number of species of wildlife. They have a boardwalk area that runs parallel to the springs and you can walk down to where they meet...More

The RV sites are in the woods and are relatively spacious. There are several sets of stairs where you can walk down into the spring for swimming. We saw manatees on our first trip here in March where the springwater flows into the Suwannee River.

The water is ice cold, and clear. Easy access to the water. Picnic tables with grills everywhere. There is a play ground for little ones and a concession stand for the hungry. At $6 a carload its a cheap day to spend with the kids

We visited in June and the area was very quiet and serene. There were no manatees in the springs, just a lot of divers getting certified. We walked a little bit of the trails but couldn't go on most of them because we had our...More

I am not sure. If the weather is cold there might be in the river. Best thing to do is call the park directly. The colder the weather the more likely. Park phone number is 352-493-6072. Good luck.
