Great hikes and the views are wonderful. Many of the trails are sand so be ready. Lots of wildlife if you keep a sharp eye out.

Many walking paths let you get to different areas of the reserve. Watch out for alligators and snakes by staying on the paths and making noise. The birds are varied and beautiful.

If you want to see florida before condos, cedar key refugee is the place to go! It is amazing for an outdoorsman. Camping available ,but not full hookup at campground. End of summer is the best time to go! Less mosquitos and and cooler Weather!...More

Depending on how young they are you can always use cedarkeypaddling (they deliver) and head out to the wildlife refuge beach. There is also a pilot that does very affordable tours. You can rent a golf cart to get around the... More
