Dames cave and peace cave are a short (under 30 mins) from the roadside parking. Caves are small and easy to access but still cool- my dog enjoyed it. Trail is clearly marked. There are campgrounds in the area- not too far from towns with...More

The Tillis Hills Recreation area campground BEATS the Silver Lake Recreation area by far if you're not wanting to be by a lake. It is QUIET. These state forest campsites are in the middle of the Citrus tract, not next to an interstate like Silver...More

We have walked on the trails at the Withlacoochee area. This area of Brooksville, FL and the Ridge Manor area that is nearby offers an opportunity to what Florida's nature areas are like.

One of few places in Florida that offers tubing. While the water may be cold to some, it's very refreshing and relaxing on a hot day. Arrive early to beat the crowds. Great way to spend the day enjoying Mother Nature.

I believe there are several places to enter. If you have a GPS it should show the different locations of entry. Be sure to bring off as horse flies are a nuisance this time of year.
