My name is Troy and I have been living in Florida for about 25 years now. I have played courses all over the US, Mexico and Canada. So I am familiar with a lot of courses and their services, etc. A few friends and myself decided to go to World Woods last month (January 2017) because all of our birthdays... More

Nicely designed public layout features two very good choices to play, Rolling Oaks and Pine Barrens. Both are challenging and picturesque..Over the years, the signs of the amount of play the courses get has shown and they no longer deserve the rating that continue to get in Golf Magazine as one of the Top 100 Courses that you can play... We're come here about 15 years in a row and always enjoy it immensely. The course conditions as of our visit were the best I can recall.

I would have given it much better rating if the marshal had a little manners and a better attitude. He talked to us like children. He told us that all the sand was waste bunkers and not as sand bunkers, so we could ground a club... My buddy asked about the taking policy and instead of answering the question, he... More

Played Pine Barrens today for $49 on Golf Now. What a bargain. This Tom Fazio design is fun to play. The over seeded fairways are wide enough so that the abundant waste areas seldom come into play. Greens are a bit tricky for the first time visitor. Starter was friendly as were the rest of the staff. Played the Rolling... More

Played Pine Barrens on 11/10/2016 as a single and was paired up with a 3-some of gentleman from NJ. We had a great time together. Rangers were very friendly and our pace of play was good, we never waited on a shot. Pine Barrens is an excellent layout with a lot of elevation changes, waste bunkers and holes that make... More

...due to the EMPLOYEES. The Pine Barrens course is fantastic. However, we had 2 very bad experiences today. First, the starter wanted us to tee off a group earlier, due to a cancellation. We weren't told this. When we drove to the first tee, approx. 5 min prior to tee time, a group of 40+ men in a tournament began... More

My wife and i have been playing here for about 10 yrs, and only played Rolling Oaks once (boring!), we always play Pine Barrens. Other than the fact that these 2 courses are a Fazio design, the layout for Pine Barrens is no comparison the Rolling Oaks. So we played recently (August 28th) and had another twosome paired with us.... More

Thankfully I played the Rolling Oaks course on an overcast June day, so the heat was tolerable. The Pine Barrens course was closed, which made for an easy choice on my only day in the area. What a great setting for golf in central Florida! An assistant pro at my local muni course in Colorado told me to check out... More
