The mountain bike trails are wonderful. Smooth without too many hills unless you go go through named sections like 'Root Hill' - I left those for the experienced riders.

The parking lot is gravel and has a small restroom building. It is an access point for hiking/biking/horse trails in the Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest. Across the road is a parking lot for horse trailers.

This is by far the best hiking trail I've found so far in central Florida. Starts out at Tucker Hill Firetower (Man I wish I could climb that!). Ample parking, restrooms with running water, and a nice picnic area. $2 fee on the honor system....More

Yes, for sure. I never hike without mine. They are supposed to be on a 6 ft. leash but as long as they are under voice control you can let them run.
