It's a great opportunity

Free parking, 10 minute walk to large open beach area. Try to go at low tide, brackish water can impede the trail. Only downside is lazy dog owners don't pick up poop

This is a dog park by the sea. People who have dogs and want to exercise them, this is the place for you and your dog to have fun.

We often take our dogs to Buckingham dog park so this is a nice change of pace for us and them. Just as with any dog park the majority of the people and dogs are fine. Every once in a while there is someone who should know better than to bring their "not so nice" dog, but most are respectful.

And our dog loves it too - there are drawbacks tho. There isn't much beach unless it's low tide but the dogs love it. People need to pick up the poop when their dog goes on the beach and they either aren't watching their dog or don't care. Pick it up people! Keep the dog beach clean! Appreciate the Banfield... This was our first experience at a dog beach. Our dog is not typically friendly with other dogs or fond of the water. But he behaved completely differently here! The shallow tide forced him into the water right away; the fact that all dogs were off leash seemed to eliminate his aggression. He actually bounded up to other dogs to... More

My husband and I went with our two Australian Cattle Dogs on Labor Day. Having researched the location on-line over the weekend, I was aware of the complaints about high tide... so we left Coral Springs at 7 am, arrived right at low tide, and had a great time! For a holiday, the wasn't a whole lot of visitors, making... More

Our dogs got very sick after going to the dog beach. It wasn't very clean and the water is questionable. The dogs drink from the Gulf and ours had terrible diarrhea afterwards.

This was the first year we brought our boat and dog to Florida. It is easy to get to by car but parking seems limited. We came by boat and our mix beagle hates the water. He didn't care for his personal flotation device either because he hates the water. LOL! BUT! our dog did experience other dogs freely playing... More

This is the perfect place to let your dog enjoy the Gulf! Dogs just love this beach and it allows them to be themselves.

Once we actually got to the beach, it was very nice, but like another person reported, we must have gotten there at high tide as we have 2 little doxies, who are known for their little legs and long bodies, and had to carry them from the parking area to the beach as the water was up to our knees....
