You don't even need to bring your own dog - great fun watching those who did bring their own dogs. Lots of dogs are seen sitting to recover from their cavorting and it's pretty much a guarantee that there will be dogs sleeping that night away.

I have only been here a few times with my best friend Biscuit. She didn't like the bigger dogs, but all in all enjoyed playing on the beach.

Dogs get very dirty! Plan on bath same day. Also be prepared for animals running loose. Most dogs well behaved but not all owners.

This is a dog park by the sea. People who have dogs and want to exercise them, this is the place for you and your dog to have fun.

Free parking, 10 minute walk to large open beach area. Try to go at low tide, brackish water can impede the trail. Only downside is lazy dog owners don't pick up poop

We often take our dogs to Buckingham dog park so this is a nice change of pace for us and them. Just as with any dog park the majority of the people and dogs are fine. Every once in a while there is someone who should know better than to bring their "not so nice" dog, but most are respectful.

And our dog loves it too - there are drawbacks tho. There isn't much beach unless it's low tide but the dogs love it. People need to pick up the poop when their dog goes on the beach and they either aren't watching their dog or don't care. Pick it up people! Keep the dog beach clean! Appreciate the Banfield... This was our first experience at a dog beach. Our dog is not typically friendly with other dogs or fond of the water. But he behaved completely differently here! The shallow tide forced him into the water right away; the fact that all dogs were off leash seemed to eliminate his aggression. He actually bounded up to other dogs to... More

My husband and I went with our two Australian Cattle Dogs on Labor Day. Having researched the location on-line over the weekend, I was aware of the complaints about high tide... so we left Coral Springs at 7 am, arrived right at low tide, and had a great time! For a holiday, the wasn't a whole lot of visitors, making... More

Our dogs got very sick after going to the dog beach. It wasn't very clean and the water is questionable. The dogs drink from the Gulf and ours had terrible diarrhea afterwards.
