As experienced kayakers and campers, we wondered if we needed a guide when considering a trip the 10,000 Islands. After looking into it, we opted to take a 4-day guided trip with Kayak SW Florida. This turned out to be a good option for us. We brought our own gear and food but used Cynthia's kayaks and utilized her expertise.... More

With the family, we just completed two different day trips with Cynthia. As a small business owner, she was very responsive to pre trip planning by email. She also provided great direction to each launch site. Pros Good, quality boats Shared some background of the surrounding nature, birds, mangroves. I don't know where to start, but if you read my other reviews, you will find that I usually only write positive comments. I am writing this review in hope that nobody else will waste their hard earned money as we did. Unfortunately, we have ended up as one of the many customers she kept telling us about on our... More

Our guide, Cynthia, was a very nice person. But we were provided with tippy rudderless kayaks better suited for experienced paddlers (2 of us were moderately experienced kayakers, and one a beginner), and NO tips/practice/demonstration of paddling techniques up front. Our beginner really struggled because of this. During much of the 2 day paddle, the guide was 100'+ in front... More

I am just returned from a great three day, two night guided trip with Kayak SW Florida. What a great guide Cynthia is, and what an amazing way to experience wilderness kayak camping in the Everglades. The equipment was first rate and Cynthia played the perfect role as a facilitator and guide. I am an experienced canoeist and swift water... More

2 friends and I did a 3-day trip with Kayak SW Florida. The guide was surly at best and dangerous if I were to be dramatic. She knew that we had little experience and provided no instruction. We headed off on an 8 mile trail taking us to Rabbit Key. The only thing saving us from ourselves with the 4th... More

Great experience with a very informative leader. We really enjoyed the sites, seeing so many birds, and learning about the estuary and ecosystem. The guide was very knowledgeable.
