Beautiful, quite, old Florida feel, excellent fishing. Make sure to do your grocery shopping before you get on the island (there is a small grocery store Kappys for emergency items but they are priced high). There aren't any gas stations, pharmacies, fast food etc on...More

We live not far away where the water is normally beautiful. We took a day trip and we're shocked over how brown the water is. We walked the beach and found dead fish all over. We were told not to go swimming. Major disappointment.

Worth the drive and $6 toll to explore Boca Grande on Gasparilla island!! Nice lunch at Eagle Grille & Millers Dockside overlooking beautiful boats docked just outside.! We then rented golf carts at the marina store next door at a very reasonable hourly rate. We...More

We love coming to this beach because it is always really clean and never overcrowded (probably since you have to pay a small fee to get on the island). Ample parking and lots of opportunities for wildlife sighting - last time we saw a huge...More

Beautiful Boca Grande Pass and the Boca Grande Lighthouse! A must see when in Boca Grande! We had a wonderful time skimming the shoreline, watching the sunset at the Pass. The sky was lit up with lovely clouds and amazing colors for a perfect sunset...More

This place is beautiful and has many things to do too! I think it is beautiful for swimming, visiting and walking around, just to relax or walk ! It has a lighthouse and a chapel, museum, bathrooms, really cute island!

In my opinion, this should be the #1 one attraction in Boca Grande (maybe just the Dolphin Cove Ice cream shop can give it a run for its money). But you can spend all day here enjoying the quiet seafront or walking/biking around taking in...More

We took an afternoon trip to this beach in the state park. What a great trip, manatees were swimming around the area, schools of fish, and a beautiful relaxing beach.

Not that I saw...I went to the beach, but I'm sure you could ask around and find some excellent camping areas. I've only lived in Florida since September and this was my first time going to Gasparilla State Park.
