We love the State Parks in the US and this one was on our doorstep,what a lovely place,the walk to the old bridge is a must and the beach is perfect.There is a lovely place to eat and nice gift shop perfect !!!

The entire ocean side was closed due to damage from hurricane Irma. The bridge was neat to walk up on & get some great pics. Beach side was very clean & family friendly. Hope to return one day & see the entire state park.

Pains me to do this. We used to love BHSP....probably will again, if they ever get the contractors to perform the repair work we were told by BHSP employees is funded. You really don't know what's no longer available.....until AFTER you pay the entrance fee....More

The parking was obliterated by the hurricane. We were unable to see what had been done to the campground on the far end. As of now, there is no access to the ocean side. I believe they said work would start around December.

They are making ongoing repairs due to hurricane damage and No currently cannot kayak there
