My friends and I had a blast. The cabins are situated in a peaceful area surrounded by water. We took the boat out and enjoyed the beaches and snorkeling

As a longtime visitor since 1971 I revisited on Nov 13 for a day just to examine the park and assess the damage from Irma. Kudos to the staff for their hard work and determination to make the best of a tragic situation as Irma...More

I came here after a long trip and finally found the beauty that I was longing for on my way to Key West. I really loved the water. It s a small area and great for a short stop to bathe in the water. In...More

I went to this park 25 years ago and it was amazing. I just walked around now and Irma really hit this place hard. Water is still nice but the beach has really eroded badly. Very disappointed.

I had not visited here pre-Irma, but what I saw this visit was still pretty amazing. I understand that the beach rehabilitation may limit access somewhat to the sand and water, but that is a small price to pay to keep this area available and...More

Beautiful park with lots of parking and water-front. Restrooms might need some work but nice place to swim and see nature. Nice vista view from top of old bridge. Bring water and lost of sunscreen. Nice alternative to Key West.

Now, don't get me wrong. It was ok. It wasn't a top 10 Florida Beach right now, no way. Beach is narrow, sometimes maybe only 20' deep. Lots of seaweed during the time we were there (November 24th 2018). Reasonably clean. Good view and could...More

This is my third review of Bahia Honda. The first was pre-Irma and very positive. My second was last year when I reported the IRMA damage. The whole beach is up and running again but a shadow of its former self. Very little sand as...More

It was unseasonable cool for the keys and quite windy, but this little state park is good in almost any weather. The exception was the recent hurricane that snapped some trees, destroyed some shelters, and damaged the camp ground. Take time to look for wildlife...More

Great park, you can swim on either the Atlantic side or Gulf side. We decided on the gulf side due to the sea grass on the Atlantic side. It was $9.00 for 2 people to enter the park which was very reasonable compared to what...More

As far as I can tell everything on Calusa Beach is open. They put up new restrooms, showers and lockers. Of course you still can see some of the devastation, since the vegetation does not grow this fast. The south side... More
