Short walk from parking lot (room for just a few cars). No entrance fee. Beautiful lake in a former quarry. We saw turtles, lots of birds and fish, but unfortunately no alligators.

Wasn't expecting this to be a pond. Was expecting a bit more grandeur. Still, a short walk, a little viewing dock to see a turtle in the water. If you are passing by and like nature, make a quick stop, if not, don't drive far...More

Nice short trail around pond. Went to see alligators and ended up seeing two. The trail wasn't to crowded so you could enjoy it.

It's an easy place to get to from the main road. There were lots of animals at the watering hole including alligators, iguanas, many different types of birds, lizards, fish and even deer! It's also really quiet.

They were all out when we toured enjoying a beautiful day. The nature trail was a bit burned out but coming back now.

You can take a short hike around the blue hole. To get there just put the name in your gps and head toward the "tree" icon on your map and you will find parking. It is a small area - trails about 1/2 mile long...More

We drove down to the Blue Hole after visiting the Welcome Center. The very friendly volunteer there told us that much of the natural wildlife that usually might be spotted around the pond had been lost in Hurricane Irma. The NWS does not reintroduce animals...More

If you're lucky you can spot an alligator or two in that pont. It's also the home of turtles, fish and birds.

Very peaceful place. Love the alligator which swam towards us, Apparently there are several in the area so be careful.

yes quite dog friendly, just lots of deers running around, so you will need a leash..also our dog once jumped in the lake with the alligator who pulled him under the water, but then released him.. so use a leash :)
