I toured the Kalmar Nyckel yesterday when I was docked in Old New Castle. It was great to visit the ship and hear the history from the volunteers who give their time. I want to visit in Wilmington and also sail.

We had the chance to take a tour of the Kalmar Nyckel during the foundation's annual Pirate Festival. It's a well run event (though the weather doesn't always cooperate) made possible mostly by a host of volunteers. The ship itself is well-maintained and a glimpse...More

Came here to tour the ship, which I saw featured in a local magazine. The ship was closed to tours. I went thru the small exhibit they had, models of all kinds of ships. They did have a very interesting short documentary about the ship...More

Our group toured the ship - the outside guide actually was extremely interesting with all the aspects and descriptions of the marking on the ship. Inside puzzles together how they survived on the ship daily. The museum will be nice when they have finished setting...More

I was very disappointed in the trip as far as how far out we went. We just made a big circle in the harbor area and that was it. I thought for $60.00 per person it was a terrible price to go no further out...More
