Get a glimpse into the cushy lives of the DuPont rich and not so famous. The house and grounds are beautiful, interesting and well- maintained. A well spent morning or afternoon. Allow 3-4 hours

This is a beautiful house where anyone feels like they can live unlike the huge cottages in Newport RI. The volunteers know all the details which make the tour more interesting. Again after visiting Winterthur, The Nemours Mansion, and the Hagley Museum aforementioned one gets...More

the mansion is well preserved and we got an outstanding tour from one of the docents. Gardens are very formal. They do an excellent job of limiting the traffic to the mansion so that you have plenty of time to tour and see what you...More

We were a group of five and arranged to have a friend guide us. We would have missed so much by just wandering through the house self-guided. Our guide was so informative, and provided so much background detail we otherwise would have. Issued.it was a...More

I agree with Celeste. A half day is perfect to see everything. There is a cafe on the grounds for a quick lunch and they have a fabulous grilled cheese sandwich!
