This is a small bay town with a bay beach. I came with a friend to look for seaglass. There is a large parking lot and a fishing pier there. We came at low tide because of recommendations. We were told the beach disappears at...More

Pier is for fishing. Beach is not for sunbathing or swimming. Good perhaps for collecting sea glass and drift wood. Plenty of parking if you want to sit and watch the tankers go up and down the Delaware River.

We visited Woodland Beach last weekend and got there in the morning. The beach was emptyping but for us. We began beachcombing along the beach following the shoreline. Beautiful day with steady breezes. Crossed a small waterway that ran into the reeds, water was up...More

This was an impulse stop on our way home from a trip: "Hey there's a beach on the right" I was not expecting boardwalk entertainment, or a Caribbean deserted sand beach, and what Woodland Beach delivered was pretty sad from either expectation. It is a...More

This is one of my go to places when we're out on the bike. It's a neat little community of eclectic houses. All mixed from old trailers to really nice homes. They just put in a great metal fishing pier to replace the old wooden...More

What a great beach to visit when you really want to unwind! You can fish or just sit and enjoy the beach. This is not a "touristy" place, so bring your own food and be prepared to use one of the porta potties when nature...More

Small beach and I've never tried swimming here, but there is a terrific pier that extends into the Delaware River (or is it the Bay at this location?) great for fishing, watching the sun rise, or just the boats passing by. Never crowded. It's also...More

Splashing around on the sand beach is ok ~ lots of people do it. Water shoes are a very good idea. Not a real swiming beach though.

I think it's just clean up after them. we saw people with dogs, but just know that some of the area is muddy, not sandy.
