After visiting High River (Maggie’s) and the homestead for Heartland we decided to check out this Museum which was featured on season 11 of Heartland. The volunteer who greeted us was a sweet elderly lady. The dioramas were adorable. Allow about 20 minutes. Do not...More

When we travel we try to make the journey part of the trip. That means we don't just go from A to B, we take the road less traveled and seek out interesting places. The Gopher Hole Museum is absolutely one of those treasured attractions...More

Visit to be inspired by the story behind the museum. Had a great visit with one of the wonderful volunteers who shared the museum's roots and how a crazy idea over two decades ago is still standing and we all get to enjoy. A hidden...More

Our hockey team (12-15 year olds) had several hours in between games so the social coordinator organized a scavenger hunt and split the kids into three teams. This is a small place so each team took turns going in and trying to find items on...More

This museum is definitely something you want to experience once in your life even if just for the binder of hate mail from all over the world. A long drive for a short visit, but we still talk about our little adventure to Torrington. Highly...More

This is definitely a very unique museum. We'd seen a similar style museum before, but not all gophers, and we despised it. But I still felt we had to check this one out. And for only $2/person (cash only), it's definitely a fair price. So...More

We took a trip to this small little town just for the museum. A trip worth taking. While the museum is not big, it is fantastic. The displays are extremely well done with such small details. The couple running the place were friendly. The gift...More

A well detailed taxidermy displays of Alberta's pesty rodents. My favorite exhibit was the firefighter one. Totally worth the 3 hr drive! It only costed $2. I thought maybe there was more to the museum. The gift store consisted of homemade items, and T-shirts.

This place was fantastic. We had searched for some unique things to do while visiting Calgary and this popped up. The bright yellow fields of canola made for a nice drive. It was a bit out of the way for us, but I am so...More
