Not sure where to write about the awesome tour of the Green. Our guide was one of best guides encountered on all of our travels. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and interesting story teller about Dover history/ American history. Her name was Theresa and wish we...More

The Green is housing historic houses, separated by well arranged lawn and beautiful trees and flowers. On a sunny day it is charming and gives you a flavor of ancient times. Do not miss it.

'The Green' is just that. A big lawn in the middle of court houses and other government buildings. It's nice for a walk, but not worth a stop unless you're visiting something.

So glad I took time for this walking tour. Since cold the docent shared most of the history and then we walked around the Green to see the buildings. Highly recommend.

A small green park surrounded by historical buildings. Many of the buildings are law offices or government buildings. Just not much to see.

We had a personalized historic tour of the many buildings around The Green with a costumed interpreter. He was fully of knowledge and historic facts. We enjoyed touring the old court house. Both took only about 90 mins.

Dover is surrounded by fast food joints, strip malls and the Dover Downs but inside the "old" downtown is this gem; the Green, which was founded by William Penn and is a brick-lined square with old mansions. It's very pretty.
