Awesome free museum

This museum is free and definitely worth the visit. Some of the interactive items are broken, but it doesn't take away from the allure.

This museum is easily missed but you should not miss out on the opportunity to see it. Nice displays and very moving display of fallen DSP Troopers. Great collection of police cars. The Director is very friendly and represents the museum well. Plan on 1.5 hours if you are going to take the time to view and read all of... More

We were the only visiters while we were there so the retired police officer on duty was able to show us round. A small museum with some interesting exhibits including a mock up of a crime scene where you are invited to solve the crime. My wife particularly enjoyed playing with the siren and lights in a police car and... More

Sort of an unusual stop but highly recommended! Lots of police history, wonderful displays of police uniforms, vehicles, equipment and more. Don't miss this one!

Stopped by while in Dover on a business trip. Museum is situated on the grounds of the HQ and academy of the Delaware State Police. Front desk person, most likely a retired trooper, was friendly and asked if I needed any guidance, but I said I'd just show myself around. Well thought-out and organized museum. Exhibit cases and signage seemed... More

The museum is curated by a retired police officer, and he helped my kids find clues in the interactive crime scene, and let them sit in the police car and play with the lights. Another museum employee dressed as McGruff the Crime Dog and posed for pictures. Excellent exhibits and a nice amount of games to keep kids involved. And,... More

Well done, a good way to spend an hour or so for history buffs. The person at the front desk is usually a retired trooper and is very helpful.

Delaware State Police museum has some great old gear from years gone by. Its is organized in a logical fashion and well maintained. The old MDT dispatch terminal brings back memories. When is the last time you saw a dispatch table with the old style "patch through" buttons to connect callers with public works, streets, utilities, etc. The back room... More

Fascinating history presented in a professional manner about a storied organization. Liked the helicopter and the old squad car as well as the motorcycle patrol.
