A very good collection of American art, with an emphasis on 18th and 19th century decorative arts. There are some very interesting pieces of furniture in the museum as well as a number of well known painters. A pleasant way to spend an hour or...More

This is the only museum with a fee in the Dover historic district. It is worth it. Even if ground floor is under repair, permanent collection of second and third floor encompass colonial style furniture, silverware, paintings and original American artifacts. A tiny but lovely...More

The Biggs has a beautiful mix of art, furniture, history, etc. Sewell Biggs did a wonderful job of preserving a rich history for the people of Delaware.

I went to a showing of the illuminated books of the Bible and was fascinated by the quality of the work displayed as well as the manner in which the art work was presented. The staff were very knowledgeable about the items.
