About
This unique waterfall tucked beneath Tembuku’s jungle caves is unlike any other in Bali. It's a 15-minute trek down some steep steps, but well worth the effort. While the waters at the base of the falls are too shallow to swim in, you can stand under the fine mist, as rays of light shine down from the cave opening above. This popular photo spot can get quite busy, so visit in the early morning for fewer crowds—though you'd want to catch the midday sun for the best light. The rocks can be slippery, so wear good shoes and avoid the monsoon season when the water levels get high. Visit this waterfall on a tour of Bali's waterfalls or photo spots, which often include a stop here. – Tripadvisor

    Life Changing
Arrived around 8am and were the only ones there. Stayed for about 1 hour, and walked through the shallows. 'Had a genuine, unexpected cleansing experience in the tradition of getting rid of old thought patterns that hold us back. Minimal charge to park the bikes...I think 2 000k.

    Incredible cave waterfall!
I’m always fascinated by a location that’s not easily accessible by the public, and in this case is difficult to get down and back up. But that’s what makes it more exotic! The crazy climb down and walk along the ankle deep water leads into a magical cave waterfall that’s picture worthy to the max!! So many memorable pix!! And refreshing - you can get soaked if you want - on a hot day.

    Gorgeous waterfall, lots of steps
This was a definite workout and not for anyone with mobility issues. The waterfall was gorgeous. We bought flip flips from the vendor but should have brought water sandals. There are 204 steps to the bottom and they are very steep, slippery and uneven plus some ankle-deep stream crossings.

Thanks to our driver we had a wonderful experience on our outing. It’s a challenge getting into the spot with not much help for elderly. Unsafe walkways to get down to cafe. No outside food allowed - even water! Rip off. The highlight is a huge swing over the craven but at $40 per person for no more than 1 minute we had some disappointed kids. A must do but be prepared. Extra cost if you want to dip in the pool

The waterfall is still known as a secret waterfall; however, it is getting insanely popular over Instagram. It is a magnificent waterfall inside a cave system that looks unusual when a spectacular beam of sun rays hit the top of the waterfall while lighting up the cave. I have never seen such an unusual sight. It is the most photogenic of all waterfalls in Bali. The entrance fee is Rp 15,000 per person. Note that the best time to visit this waterfall is from 9 AM to 11 AM for the sun rays.

I wonder...did any of the people including the woman in scanty bikini with fringe and full face of makeup pout and posing and doing photo shoot actually SEE or feel the beauty of this place? A stunning waterfall ruined by queues of people glued to their phones taking pictures of the experience instead of HAVING the experience. Once we went in the other direction to the less INSTAGRAMMABLE area of the falls it was so peaceful and lovely...got to see gorgeous local Bali teens frolicking in the pool. So natural and alive. No posing or selfies just having fun. This is a lovely place (minus the self obsessed tourists) Go early in the morning or at a quiet time of year and you will have an amazing experience.

We went sometime around the afternoon. When we get there it was cloudy but we decided to continue descending to the waterfall. Right after we arrived at the bottom it started to rain pretty heavily. We waited around 30 minutes until the rain started to subside before exploring the waterfall. There was a small waterfall to the right and the bigger one is to the left. Because it rained, the water level was pretty high and the waterfall looked quite dangerous due to the rushing water so we decided to call it a day, take a few pictures and left. We were the first one to arrive at the big waterfall after the rain subside and when we left the queue got longer pretty quickly. The waterfall was pretty nice but if i were to go back, I’ll probably go early in the morning to beat the crowds.

Although this was a beautiful waterfall it was overrun by “instagrammers”. There’s no water to swim in and no one seemed to be enjoying the actual waterfall just forming a queue for instagram photos instead which I’m not sure is even worth it as it was very dark.
There were also a lot of steps which are very steep so bare this in mind if you have any physical difficulties.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone go here there are much prettier waterfalls that you can actually enjoy!

The Tukad Cepung Waterfall is a good place to cool off on a hot day. The nice pictures comes at a price as nobody tells you that you have to work for thise beautiful pictures. After a steep 15 minute walk down, it was very busy with a small pool and 3 small waterfalls at the bottom.  It can be very tiring walking up and down. Foot traffic would also be busy during the walks up and down the place. Sandles and an umbrella is a must for the rainy season, as you are walking barefoot on rocks to the fall. They do however sell sandles and towels at the premises prior to descending the steps and small outlets along the descent for souvenirs and sandles and towels and restaurants. There were toilets available at the top of the entrance with monetary donation for use. They were however not of the best hygiene.

I was looking forward to seeing this waterfall since I travelled in December, a lot of tourists and very crowded in Kuta. So, joining this tour was an opportunity to escape the busy district and just enjoy nature at its best. If you dont mind the trek and descent to the rocks and caves, you are perfect to explore this place. Beautiful and serene.

Beautiful waterfalls. Would very much recommend. Steep steps but very achievable.

The happy frog restaurant on the way down was fantastic. As a coeliac sometimes it's quite difficult in Asia. However the man here read my gluten free information sheet and then came back and checked every single ingredient, including the salt and pepper! Honestly the safest I've felt eating overseas ever and I didn't get sick later. The resultant soup was delicious, and my partner loved his gluten-filled meal too. The restaurant has a beautiful balcony overviewing rainforest. Would recommend 10/10.

We visited this waterfall as part of a day trip tour. Unfortunately our guide did not give us a heads up that part of the trek woud involve getting our feet wet whilst walking pass streams and through caves. We initially hiked in our sport shoes and had to remove this to finish the latter half of the trek. It was rather painful to walk on ragged stone and sand which did slightly affect our experience. However the waterfall was spectacular and the walk was worth it in the end. We would recommend again hiking in sport shoes as there is a lot of stairs to go up and down but then to bring a spare pair of flip flops to change into.

As before we had seen a waterfall of this kind only on pictures, we were extremely delighted to see it through our own eyes. And even heavy raining hadn’t hindered us to enjoy this natural wonder and, of course, make some amazing photos. Hands down, this place must be in a must-visit list of every traveler who visits Bali for the first time.
