My sister won a wine & chocolate tasting & tour for 6 while we were at a Girls Night Out CT. I'm so glad we learned about this place. We had a blast! Our visit was on a cold snowy day so the outside portion of the tour was short but it was very interesting. The staff is friendly and... More

Went with friends on a tour of a few wineries. Enjoyed the variety of fruit wines both the dry and semisweet ones. The cassis was the groups favorite along with the sangria. Beautiful setting.

My husband and I unexpectedly stopped at the White Silo Winery today and thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting experience! Tara was our very knowledgeable and friendly server and we enjoyed conversing with her. She related the history of the winery from a "pick your own" fruit farm to a working winery. An added bonus was the beet festival that was... More

stopped by for there rasberry festival. There was a excellent blues band playing. Once inside the converted old barn, it was full of people having a great time, there was art work on display from local artists and a very busy bar serving there wine. The food was amazing and of course all with a touch of rasberry .This picturesque setting overlooking there... Last minute we decided to visit this winery. Sherman is a nice small town with farms and nice scenery. The winery is small but we enjoyed the tasting. Most of their wines are fruity but not too sweet. Their rhubarb wine is very good. Staff is friendly. If you're in the Sherman area stop in and try their wines. Reasonably... More

We visited White Silo as part of a weekend trip to the area for my mom's birthday. Mom, dad, sis, and I all had a wonderful experience touring the property with Eric and learning about the history of the property and how Eric's father transitioned it over the years. Lunch was tasty and the wine tasting with Tara was great!... More

I've been to lots of wineries in my day, but I've never had so much fun. First, the wine is delicious. It's fruity, there is a sweet and a dry and I liked them all very much. My favorite was the Sweet Rhubarb! Rhubarb wine??? You might say... and I say a resounding "YES"! Rhubarb, Blackberry, Raspberry, Black Current -... More

Our first time at the White Silo was in 2014 when we were completing the CT Wine Trail passport contest. We fell in love immediately! The location is beautiful and serene, set on a hill overlooking the mountains and valleys in Sherman. We have gotten to know the owners - a father and son team - Ralph and Eric quite... More

We visited White Silo this past weekend. Both the grounds and the tasting room are lovely and they allow you to bring your own picnic food. There was a beautiful art show which we enjoyed viewing. However, the staff were very disorganized. It was not at all busy when we arrived. Nothing was explained about the tastings nor was it... More

I went here with my mother for a wine tasting. It was $7 to taste 4 wines and their sangria. The woman there was very friendly and took the time to chat with us while we tasted the wine. I personally wasn't a huge fan of any of the wines, but they weren't bad. There were about 10-12 choices to... More
