We were there during low tide, so much fun. Plenty of places on the sandbars to sit, walk and explore. The Sands were full of tiny creatures to enjoy. The water was clean and refreshing. Much fun.

Amazing how clean and well kept this beach was. Kinda small, but it was perfect for a lazy summer day! I will be back in the winter, cant wait to see it when it snows.

There was trash all over the parking lot overflowing and the beach had trash everywhere. It was filthy!! I was terrified to let my grandchildren play in the sand!! The food cart was closed and the bathroom was one stall!

Harvey's Beach is a small beach visited by small groups and families. The very shallow beach exposed at low tide for lots of shell hunting. The sheltered beach does not have big waves, so safe swimming for young swimmers is very enjoyable.

It's on Great Hammock Rd. If you hit the beach with parking on both sides of the road, you've passed it. You have to go by a booth to get into the parking lot.

I don't believe there are any additional charges beyond parking, but you would have to check with the town of Old Saybrook. They run the beach.
