This theater is only 20 minutes from our house, so it's easy for us to bop on down for a show. But the acoustics are not very good. We much prefer the concert sound at the Infinity Halls, both Norfolk and Hartford.

The Hit men is a great review of former band members of such groups as 4 seasons , journey, Carole king And cat Stevens who toured with these people and played in their bands. A great show reliving all the old songs of days gone bye !!

This was our first visit to "The Kate" and we thoroughly enjoyed the show, plus the comfortable seating and intimate setting of the theater. To be so close to the performers in this day and age is usually impossible. We are looking forward to attending more concerts there. I would strongly urge people to check out this Cultural Center, online,... More

The music and accompanying stories were fun but the amp was turned up way too loud. I had to turn off my hearing aids and it was still loud. My husband spent the evening with his fingers in his ears. The man in front of us left during the first set and many people didn't return after the intermission.

Never a bad show. Worth it everything. Alone or in a group a great evening. Something for everyone. Prices are so reasonable and so worth it.

We have been to the Kate for many performances and all have been enjoyable. We have seen musical performances, plays and comedians. The venue itself is set up with very comfortable seating with plenty of elbow room. Every seat is the best seat cause it is small. There is also a Katherine Hepburn Museum on the entry level and a... Free experience. How much better can it be!!!!! Even suitable for an inexperienced listener like me. Very recognizable music and wonderful duo of popular operas.

Just attended a performance of "Noises Off" at the Kate and it was very well done. Of course, it was not Broadway, but the performers did a wonderful job entertaining an appreciative audience. The Kate is a marvelous venue, pristine with good spacing and wonderful seating and a staff that obviously know what it is to do. This was my... More

We went to see a night of comedy with three local comedians. It is a wonderful venue. We were fifteen minutes early and took a tour of the Katherine Hepburn Museum in the building. Really interesting history especially for the local area of Old Saybrook. We enjoyed our evening and will travel again to see their ever changing entertainment options!

First time visitor, with a group to see 'Bye Bye Birdie'. The presentation was very well done. I don't think there's a bad seat in the theater. Interesting Hepburn facts and pictures in displays. Pleasant way to spend an evening.t
