We have been season subscribers for many years. It just gets better ALL the time! Productions are often as good --and sometimes better than NYC!! Shubert is a true gem and New Haven is lucky to have it. SUPPORT IT!!

Just look at the wall in the lobby to see the almost countless shows and artists who had the first performance at this Shubert. And then go into the lovely theatre to enjoy some first-rate live theatre. Went to see the tour of "Sound of...More

I was here to watch the Book of Mormon last month. It was the first time I'd been in the theater though they often have plays I'd love to attend. The theater is also very, very beautiful - it totally surprised me. Great seating area....More

Great theater. Saw mowtown the musical, which was a fantastic show. Theater is beautiful old theater, not verry large, but seating was comfortable. Snacks available, although not a good variety. Parking garage located right next door to theater. Gail

The smaller nature of the venue makes for good acoustics. As with many older places, there isn't an abundance of leg room. But they get good shows and the staff is really friendly.

Depending on the show I would say the dress code varies but not just opening night, I see lots of folks really beautifully dressed in fancy clothes while others not and some events tend to be more casual. As with all events... More
