Love going here for theater. No bad seats. There's a fairly new lounge upstairs for a drink before the show. Only drawback is the limited seating.

This was my second time to the Shubert Theater, both times to see Les Miserables. The show was outstanding as always! The theater is a quaint venue with good viewing from just about everywhere. It is frustrating to read the reviews about the staff...they were...More

The theater is quite old, I think, but very elegant inside. The restroom situation (for women, of course) could be better.

I just came from the play Amazing Grace and was very impressed with the new Renovations that took place at the Shubert recently. Construction during the off-season allowed for a free flowing entrance into the theater. This is a great place to watch a play...More

Has been around a very, long time in New Haven. Has had updates through the years. Has a variety of events at this venue. Places to eat, drink, etc. in walking distance of the theater. A pleasant place to see shows.

Depending on the show I would say the dress code varies but not just opening night, I see lots of folks really beautifully dressed in fancy clothes while others not and some events tend to be more casual. As with all events... More
