This site at sunset was gorgeous. When we arrived on a beautiful November afternoon, it was amazing. The parking lot had an ample amount of spaces. Once we parked, it was a short walk towards the left of the coastal center to absolutely amazing views. After watching the sun set, we walked back to the coastal center, walked up the... More

This area is beautiful, and the facility has touch tanks and binoculars - great fun for the kids and an educational experience too!

The coastal center is a great place for either a quick visit or to spend time with children to teach them about the local animals and marsh/beach habitat. There are also beautiful views from the decks at the center. A very peaceful place!

For years I would walk down the beach just to visit this coastal place that seen to housed all the birds from the area. Great place to take my children while they visited their grandparents. I always came for the learning experience that this place had to offer. Best place in Milford to learn about the coastal creatures who called... More

A relatively unknown but fun day-trip- bring family or a few friends for a quiet coastal walk or bike ride, great views from on high, bird-watching, hiking, animal interaction at the center inside, romantic hideaways abound. Really nice place for a surprise get together- either as a freebie date site or a day with the kids.

The area is beautiful. You can climb up the stairs to overlook a very big marsh. Guided field trips for birding or life in the marsh are recommended. The museum is fun for kids with a big ant farm and cameras. Outside you can walk along the water overlooking bays and the Housatonic.

There is a lot to see but if you rush, you will miss a lot. Driving down the road into the place you feel like you are driving down a private driveway. Once in the parking lot there are informational posters but after that it's up to you to find things. The information center/gift shop is a great place to... More
