The hiking here is fairly easy and the scenery absolutely beautiful. We saw people painting the scenery, people reflecting by the water. It's a great place to get away for a day

A walk around the excellent museum after a stroll around the park/lake proved very popular with our four children aged under 10. A wide range of nature focused exhibits, many interactive, kept them engaged for quite some time. Highly recommended.

I'm not a snowshoer myself but I believe it would be a great place for it. There are miles of trails through all kinds of terrain.
