The brook that runs through this park is so tranquil. It is a great place for hiking and picnics. There are many trails of varying levels and nice roads to simply take a walk. The "facilities" are primitive. Picnic tables and grills are available next...More

Would be a nice camping experience, but the NO BEER policy is ridiculous. Even though we had no beer, the staff spied on us at our site at night to try to "catch us" with beer. They even looked inside the tent and car. Felt...More

We hiked all the way up the mountain, saw beautiful views, but then returning down did not pay better attention to the trail markers, or they just weren't there. It is moderate to difficult and there is a scramble towards the top, as people mentioned....More

Very nice place for an easy hike, a picnic and even some brook fishing. Wasn't buggy yet in late April but might be in May.

Great place to hike and to explore. Camping season ends a little early in the year it seems. Prettiest spot I have found in the prettiest corner of CT! The blue trail can be treacherous at points. Lots of fun, but don't take your overweight...More

Macedonia State Park is a little known delight. Great hiking trails and views toward the Catskills Mountains in NY State. The Macedonia Brook flows through the entire park, providing a fabulous backdrop for campers and day trip picnic visitors.
