Not Too Big

Great venue for concerts, bull riding, big entertainment. Yet it's not so big that you feel disconnected from the entertainment.

Having just been to the XL center this week, We were a little bummed at the conditions of the center. Empty store fronts inside still, sports banners falling down. The food areas were not very clean and the food staff were very rude at numerous spots. the security was pleasant and thorough. The seats were pretty comfortable. NOW THE SHOW... More

This facility is older and in desperate need of repairs. During our visit for a basketball tournament, 2 escalators and 1 elevator were completely inoperable. A sign said "We apologize," but there was no indication of how a disabled person could get from one floor to the other. Finally a nice employee felt sorry for us and took us on... More

Family night at XL Center watching Hartford's wolfpack rally on the ice. A family of five cost just about 100.00 for tickets. Snacks, another 40 and parking. Exciting for certain tho disappointing to see HUNDREDS of seats vacant. With Hartford's current budget crisis, they'd be smart to reconsider ticket pricing and fill that place up! All wisdom aside, it's clean,... More

I have been to XL Center twice to see the Hartford Wolf Pack and enjoyed both games. Even though this is an older facility, it does have its advantages. Fans who arrive early can wait in the lobby, unlike other arenas I've been to (Webster Bank Arena, Mohegan Sun Arena) where early arrivers have to wait outside. Also, there is... More

So I tried to go with friends to a UCONN hockey game. I was stopped and told my pocket book was over a specific size and would not be allowed into the venue. I could bring all the contents but not the bag. What kind of stupidity is this. What do the size of my bag have to do with... More

First time. Parking is available, however you need to know which garage is public and open for the time you will be. Parking at church st garage for the event was $10. The directions for entering the xl center can be confusing and at the time of of visit of the escalators was broken going down, with no instructions on... More

We had a great afternoon here for a U Conn women's game. The ticket office was friendly and helpful. We loved the halftime entertainment. The XL Center was easy to get in and out of.

The XL Center is a good place for sports games. I've been here for hockey and basketball games and have always enjoyed it. Be warned that food and beverage prices are on par with expectations: I paid $5 for a bottle of water.

Not a bad seat in the house. Most events are priced reasonable. Their concessions are better than normal and reasonable.
