While Avery Point Light is tiny (can't enter but can walk around), the water views are great. It's a very attractive structure located on the UConn Avery Point Campus. To locate the light, just follow the brick pathway from the parking lot.

We found a beautiful secluded walkway and setting, at least this time of year when the UConn students are not present. The Avery Light Mansion has a really nice brick walkway interspersed with many art sculptures and memorial benches. The views of New London, Groton,...More

Love the artwork on the grounds, the scenery can't be beat, and the pathway with inspiring donation bricks and stone seatings along the grounds.

UConn campus is emptied for the summer so there was a ton of parking and a very nice brick path along the water that my wife handled with her rollator without any issues. Path goes for awhile and ends at the Lighthouse ... and you...More

This property is actually part of University of Connecticut campus. Parking is free on weekends. We were there on a Saturday morning in June and pretty much had the vast ground to ourselves and a few other groups plus a few fishermen by the shore....More
