A nice walk around Avery Point. There are nice sculptures to look at. Locals go and fish there. You can get a good view of the Ledge Lighthouse. Just bring a chair/blanket/food & drinks and watch the sunset.

I love walking here and stopping along my route to sit and just be. Some times I bring along a pocket journal to write my thoughts. Other times I practice yoga. Beautiful views inspire contemplation and serenity.

If you have some time in Groton and have to visit the UConn Avery Point Campus it is worth it to see the coastal scenery of CT. There is a nice path that wraps around the school The building itself is beautiful too!
