I brought my grandson (4) and he really enjoyed the Nautilus. We just walked around and talked about the various things, the small bunks, the kitchen, where the sailors ate, etc. He really enjoyed it. I’ve been there before. They have a nice gift shop...More

Was staying at subase Groton so took the opportunity to visit this before flying back home from Boston. It’s a self guided tour with an audio tour included. This tour is free with the museum right in front. You don’t realize how tight it is...More

The tour of the USS Nautilus is self guided with the equipment they give you upon entering. There are stairs and high thresholds to climb over and tight quarters to travel. The museum building in front gives a fascinating history of the submarines and officers...More

Great place to talk the kids. A fun way to learn a little history. The scope room was a hit not to mention the U.S.S. Nautilus tour.

The USS Nautilus submarine is docked in the Thames River behind the US Forces Submarine Museum and tours are offered. Great place to visit with family and friends.
