Sure there's a ton of upscale shopping, but for me it's just a great place for a long walk with the dog

Greenwich Avenue is a great street to wander in and out of small stores. Many of the stores are unique. You can also find CVS and Restoration Hardware just to name a couple of larger stores.

the elite stores are at their finest on the famous Greenwich Avenue. Choose a casual diner or an upscale Bar and Grill, it is all on the Ave! Restoration Hardware has found a home in the original post office building on the corner. Visiting is worth every minute. Tiffany's is a little further up the Avenue on the same side... More

Greenwich Avenue... "The Avenue" or just "The Ave." to locals. Famously packed with high-end retail and an ever changing assortment of trendy eateries. We occasionally will pick a new restaurant to try or re-visit an old favorite (brunch at Versailles) or peek in Vineyard Vines or J Crew. But most of my visits are just to walk the dog, and... More

I live in Greenwich, therefore my opinion could be bias or tainted. I will try to be objective, helpful and definitely unbias. We are missing the avenue we were browsing 35 years ago when we moved to Greenwich. The pharmacies have been replaced by a CVS , Woolworth became Saks, the candy store became J. Crew, Star Bucks dislodged a... More

Nice to walk up and down the avenue, especially during the holidays. Your standard fair of high end stores. Probably best to ignore the 1 & 2 star reviews here though. This is Greenwich, not Bedford-Stuyvesant. I don't honestly understand what they're complaining about. If. I you can't afford the shops, don't whine about it.

When I moved to Greenwich three years ago, I loved walking down the "Avenue". And I still love it. I suggest going on a Sunday rather than a Saturday. Most of the stores are open on Sunday and the parking is free. There seems to be less people on Sunday and, of course, on weekdays. Walking the avenue during December... More

There are several chains, RH, Ralph Lauren, Marmot, Apple, etc, but the best shops we found were the gift stores with a variety of items. My favorite being Hoaglands of Greenwich. They have a great assortment of china and flatware, but some great gift items and beautifully decorated Christmas trees. I especially loved the dog tree- very cute.

This area is worth visiting when in town, there are lots of cool little shops and some good places to eat. It is in a very pretty area, a nice place to hang out.

Reviewing a street! Makes sense, actually. It's a destination and although there is knock out high end stuff you can get very decent pizza and green papaya salad. It's very strollable, though it's on a hill. Put if you start from the bottom, the return is easier. There are a couple of pubs and even a pretty old fashioned news... More

Saw Ron Howard walking around. Had a nice cup of coffee. Toured a Tesla and examined an Apple Watch. My 18 month old enjoyed the park and the football and soccer being played.
