We stopped here on a Sunday and had a picnic in the gazebo. The buildings were closed, but that was alright. It was a very peaceful and lovely place. Watched the birds and butterflies and just relaxed. Had places to throw away our trash and...More

Very interesting and historic place. Has recently re-opened after renovations. Don't miss going inside the museum! Walking trails, birds abound, lovely pond ~ watch for turtles, frogs, ducks, geese. Be sure to read the messages, especially the info on the building you see pictured here.

A must see in Ffld. The exhibit is very cool. Great bird display outside, the owls are magnificent. Check out all the displays inside.

Enjoyed a nice hike at the Audubon Society in Fairfield. The staff opened up the rescued raptor area for us to go see the birds. Very cool to see owls and hawks up close.

We love the Connecticut Audubon. This particular location is a bit smaller in acreage than other CT Audubon locations, but is a nice slice of nature wedged between I-95 and Fairfield town center. I'd recommend this location for folks who live in the area, if...More

The Birdcraft Museum is a Fairfield treasure. So many local people have dedicated many hours (and many dollars) to making this museum and bird sanctuary a special place. It's fantastic for children and adults!!
