Niantic's Hole in the Wall Beach is hidden beyond the railroad tracks. There is a daily admission fee but if you arrive early morning or late evening, the attendants are gone and you may enjoy the beach and boardwalk for free.

Went on Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed it. $10 per person for walk in as we parked on the street. That’s the non-resident price. Non-resident parking on site is $30 plus. Beach is small, waveless but clean and quiet.

Just steps from the boardwalk and Gumdrops & Lollipops! Love the quaint beach. Life guards during the summer season. Nice shower to rise off after the beach and bathroom.

Clean small beach. Not crowded. Family friendly. Life guard on duty. Clean restrooms nearby. Bonus foot shower outside restroom is nice to prevent extra sand in your car.

We enjoyed a quiet morning on this small and quaint beach. There's a trail nearby (Niantic Boardwalk) that you can walk along and see other views of the Long Island Sound. Plenty of parking and restrooms in the parking lot. The power plant in the...More

My wife and I took a fall drive to Niantic and unexpectedly discovered this beautiful beach area. The hole-in-the-wall refers to an access point under the Acela Train rails to get from a parking lot to the beach. There is a mile-long boardwalk along the...More

This isn't the most popular beach in Niantic, and that's good for visitors, because it's not large and yet has enough space for the few who find it (the locals know about it, but tend to direct tourists elsewhere - it was suggested only after...More

It's free if you park on the street and walk in. The east lyme parks and recreation sell parking passes.
