Then this is for you. The collection is extensive, well maintained, and they give good tours of the facilities. The rides are not spectacular, but fun.

I took the trolley as a kid and so I took my kids too. Same experience hasn't changed in 30 years except I got older lol Take a nice ride in fall or late spring because there's no heat or AC.

Absolutely. There's some fun stuff in the museum but I think the outdoor part: trolley ride and visit to the train yard would be the highlight for him/her.
