We were on the CT Wine Trail while we stayed at the Interlaken Inn and this one was relatively nearby. We found 2 particularly good wines for CT, one a blueberry mix which is delightful for a summer afternoon. It's located right down the road from Beckley Iron works so a must see if you're at the winery, especially on... More

I visited here for a wine tasting with one other person. There was one couple there when we arrived, and they were just finishing their tasting. We got our first wine, then had to wait a while before the second as she talked to and rang up the couple. Finally we got the rest of our wines. She also wasn't... More

The Land of Nod Winery and Vineyard is the hidden wine enthusiast gem of Northeastern, CT. The vineyard itself is a little out of the way, but it is completely worth the drive; let me tell you why: ALL of the wines tasted great! We left with two bottles. We'll be going back again with a designated driver. The property... More

Did not know you could drive so far and still be in CT. You even have to drive through a limestone quarry on the northern route that looked like another planet. The specialty here are the fruit wines. Very well done, but not for me. My wife and daughter, however, are crazy for the raspberry wine infused with chocolate. The... More

This winery was very nice, and a beautiful drive to get there. It's in a very quiet area, great for relaxing. Tastings were $6 to try all the wines, with the exception of the one they sold out of. Most of the wines were a little too sweet for us, but we did find one we really loved and bought... More

Was our first stop on day two of our wine tour. Quaint tasting room, also selling yarn from the sheep they sheared. Kinda cool. Had an interesting selection of wines involving rasberries which they also grow there. Our guide was young, not an owner, so his knowledge of the wines was not as passionate and deep as those wineries where... More

This was our first stop on the CT wine trail and it was a great one! The man doing the tasting was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed chatting with him. The fruit wines are amazing! Definitely will be back to purchase more wine.
