We have been to so many zoos. Beardsley Zoo was definitely a nice one. We particularly enjoyed seeing the tigers, turtles, and river otters.

Easily accessible and thoroughly enjoyable. The animals appear well cared for and the staff are knowledgeable. Would recommend getting there early as the animals are active and the parking is abundant.

The animals were ecstatic, the habitats were well taken care of and the zoo keepers were very friendly. Oh yeah and theres a glory hole in the bathroom.

This is a medium sized zoo with interesting exhibits. If you've come for elephants, giraffes, polar bears or other species requiring large and specialized enclosures, you'll be disappointed. It's a bit expensive for the smaller size but it is a fun outing and offers memberships for those that are local - it's worth it and is paid for in 2 visits, I believe. There are quite a few interactive exhibits the kids enjoyed.
