Stopped here to get hunting license. The lady went out of her way to explain the process and to assist us. We toured the museum and gift area. Beautiful area.

We enjoyed visiting this state park at the end of our drive on highway 160 east, before heading up to Pueblo, CO. The visitor center is very welcoming and the restrooms are clean. Beautiful scenery abounds!

Stayed at campground and did some Glamping. Would recommend and return here. Clean and well maintained. The fishing was good as well. Wasn't too impressed with the ampi theatre. The lakes are all good for catching fish and not too crowded.

We paid $31 for an electric site near the showers. The female ranger was very helpful in helping us pick a site. Hogback trial was very nice. There was a neat little rock formation between our campsite in the pinion campground and hogback trail.

The Pinon Campground is very clean and such a nice area. We played golf at the adjoining golf course and love that. Took a nice drive up to La Veta and Cuchara.
