It's about 4.5 miles RT starting at 11K to 11850, so it gets your heart going. Diverse, with walks through meadows, then up into the pines. At the peak there's a beautiful view of Shrine Ridge rock outcropping and mountain ranges. We were there in...More

Short trail to a small summit with wonderful views - from Ten Miles Range to Holly Cross. Suitable for children and less active adults. Unfortunately, because of overuse, the trail is getting worse every year - especially due to many people creating their own shortcuts....More

We were there 2 weeks ago, just past the peak of wild flowers, but there's still plenty. And it is very beautiful.

No too heavily used during the week the day that we went. Would go in July vs August as the wildflowers had already peaked. Really nice hike.

This was my favorite hike in Vail. We were there early in the morning and felt like we had it to ourselves. We saw a deer on the ridge and tons and tons of wildflowers. The climb was challenging but worth the amazing views at...More

Beautiful views! BUT, more importantly... The misquitos are out in the summers and viscous at all times of the day. Every time you stop they will bite. So wear bug spray!!!

Even for our guests who aren’t acclimated this is a beautiful hike with spectacular views & it’s easy to stop & rest when needed. It’s good to spray for bugs althoughbugs are not always a problem

A good hike, not to strenuous with fields of flowers to soothe your soul followed by a lovely view at the end of the trail!

it's 4 miles round trip (2 up/2 down). It's an easy-moderate trail. The last 1/4 mile is steeper but so worth it! The views are amazing! I saw all level hikers on the trail - from toddlers to senior citizens. I think it... More
