I took the path from the Marriott down to the Cascade Village then back up to Vail Village. It runs along the partially frozen creek. Be careful of the icy conditions but this is a great walk to see Vail and the various villages.

We really enjoyed all of our Vail nature walks along the rec path. Clean with some access to Gore creek along the way. Definitely the highlight of our trip.

What's awesome about Vail is that you are entrenched in nature. Don't need to go anywhere or do anything. It's all right there. It's such a peaceful and tranquil place. Civilized beyond anything else. The town and surrounding areas are so well done you don't...More

We biked the path with Charter Sports from the summit of Vail Pass back into town. The path is smooth two-lane asphalt and it gets a lot of traffic in both directions. At one point the path parallels I-70 and at another you are on...More

Get ready for a perfect riding path - scenery, fresh air, exercise, well groomed trail. Biking, hiking, or other activity. A smart and valuable asset for locals and tourists by Vail and nearby towns - this path connects many surrounding towns, mountains, creeks and lakes.

Great for dogs. Not at all busy in the off-season. Be aware of curves as bikers can be moving quickly.

This is a must do activity. The path is next to the river. So there are great views all along the path.

The Vail Bike Path does meander through Vail village along the creek (as many other reviewers have covered) which is very scenic. The path continues east out of town by the golf course and continues UP to Vail Pass (about 13-14 miles east of town)....More

Oh yeah! Though there may be times that there are more riders than other times, I can't imagine there being so many riders that you would feel unsafe. The trail is wide enough to accommodate a large number of people.

It's open. It will be snow packed and icy. Traction, like from yak tracks, on your boots, will be very helpful. From the Wren, at the Betty Ford alpine center, not far to the east, you can borrow yak tracks. Or, if you like... More
