Not a destination in itself but a fine way to spend an hour (or less) if you are a history buff. We learned a lot about the area, mining, the gambling/prostitution, the fight for the valley (awesome), beavers (they even have a dam). It’s a...More

Interesting museum. Worth the time to explore. Took us 3 hours to look at the exhibits and movie, but worth it.

This place is great! Plenty of history about the town, mining, it's first in the nation to have electricity, as well as an amazing collection of vintage items.

We visited this small museum on a snowy day and were very glad we did. It’s very easy to walk to as it’s located about two blocks uphill from the Main Street. The museum exhibits many different aspects of Telluride’s history in a number of...More

Great displays with complete overview of Telluride and it's history. It is located in an old hospital which was interesting aspect of the museum. Well done.

This interesting building has a varied history tied into the town. The displays are varied and interesting. The greeter was friendly and informative but it is a self-guided tour. Getting to it is easy by walking from anywhere in town.

There is a $5 cover charge for adults and $3 for students. The building is special as it was an old hospital. The display of old hospital amenities was interesting. I wasn't impressed with the rest of the artifacts.

As it's a historical museum housed in a historic building I'd doubt it, but perhaps if it was a service dog?? Give them a call.
